The procedure of Inter-religion court marriage in Delhi, Delhi NCR and Ghaziabad

Performing the procedure of inter-religion court marriage is not an easy task. Inter-religion court marriage can be performed in 2 different types under the rules and regulations of the Special Marriage Act, of 1954. Special Marriage Act, of 1954 is the judiciary act which provides permission for performing inter-religion court marriage in Delhi, Delhi NCR and Ghaziabad. Let's discuss how you can perform inter-religion court marriage in Delhi.

Inter-religion court marriage under the special marriage act, 1954 (30 days)

All the steps which are required to perform inter-religion court marriage under the special marriage act, 1954 are listed below:-

Firstly, the couple will have to visit the court and collect the application form from the court.

Once the couple receives the application form then they have to hire highly repaired court marriage associates to assist them in the legal procedure of inter-religion Court marriage.

Now, parties will have to collect all the documents as we have discussed above to make sure that all the documents are completely real and genuine.

Parties will have to visit the court and take the appointment of a marriage registrar. Once the marriage registrar accepts your application then the parties are asked to wait.

The marriage registrar will verify all the documents that you have and once the documents get verified then the marriage registrar will announce the 30 days objection period which parties will have to for 30 days and visit the court after the completion of the objection period.

Objection period

The objection period refers to a period of 30 days where parties who have applied for court marriage will have to wait for 30 days. Within 30 days, a dedicated notice about the notification of the marriage is sent to the families of both parties. Also, anyone can object to the marriage within the timer period of 30 days. During this time interval if the claimed objection proved then the application of marriage got rejected. Otherwise, the couple can perform a court marriage.

Couples can perform inter-religion court marriage as per the special marriage act, 1954 but there is another way through which they can perform court marriage in just 1-2 days. This method of court marriage also lies under the provisions of the Special marriage act, of 1954 but in this method, one party will have to perform conversion into another religion.

Conversion

Conversion is an activity where one party is ready to shift from one religion to another religion. Let us know with an example:- if a person belongs to the Hindu religion but he wants to perform the religious practices of the Muslim religion or any other religion and wants to get recognized as a Muslim or Christian then the person will have to perform an activity which gives him a new identity. This religious practice is recognised as Conversion.

The procedure of Inter religion court marriage under the Special Marriage Act, of 1954 (through conversion)

All the processes which are required to perform court marriage under the Special marriage act, 1954 through conversion are listed below:-

Candidates will have to perform the conversion of other candidates first.

For this, every religion has a specific religious practice. The person who wants to perform the conversion will have to reach the religious place of that specified religion in which he wanted to get converted and perform all the necessary religious practises asked.

After the completion of the conversion, candidates will have to visit the court and apply for inter-religion court marriage.

Complete the verification of documents and once the verification of documents gets completed then the marriage registrar will announce the completion of the court marriage.

Once the procedure of court marriage gets completed then the couple will also get

recognized as a married couple and their marriage certificate will be globally recognized.

It's upon the marriage registrar to accept or deny the application. If the application gets accepted then the court didn't send the notice to the families of both the parties.

How conversion happens

Muslim to Hindu:- Person will have to perform a religious practice called "Shuddhi" under the supervision of Pujari ji in a Hindu temple.

Muslim to Christian:- A person will have to visit the church and follow the religious practice required under the availability of a priest.
